Washington, D.C. — one of the first “designed” American cities, and one of the most planned — is an extension of our campus and our classrooms. The city is a laboratory for the students of the School of Architecture and Planning, and the architectural jewel of our nation. The city's museums, historical sites, restaurants, performing arts centers, the world's largest research library (the Library of Congress), and all the iconic buildings and monuments from the city are all nearby, just a short Metro ride away
Our D.C. advantage offers students internship opportunities with organizations like American Institute of Architects, Green Building Council, myriad government agencies, and the Office of the Architect of the Capitol – all minutes away from our campus.
